This brief report developed by MDRC discusses three overarching strategies to support the early care and education workforce: increasing access to education and career growth, reinforcing workers’ overall economic well-being, and improving working conditions. This brief provides examples and actionable recommendations to help state and local policymakers select and effectively implement promising approaches to supporting the workforce in these three areas.
